SYDNEY: Cheeky Has Been Given Death Sentence Has Only a Few Days to Live – Please Save Her

This is a very distressing and sad story.

Cheeky the female cat was living with an elderly lady all her life. Now when the lady has died, her son has sold her house and is moving to a unit.

He will surrender Cheeky this week Wednesday/Thursday -10th/11th April to the pound where we know that she will be put to death as she is 12 years old.

As you can see on the photos Cheeky is a beautiful girl. She is desexed. She is an indoor/outdoor cat but she mainly loves to be outside as her human mum’s garden is a green, lush oasis. Cheeky does not show any symptoms of any illness, has lovely shiny fur and bright eyes.

Here is Cheeky’s plea:

” I am a 12 year old lady, loved living with my brother in the garden of my human mum and coming home for tasty meals. My brother died a few years ago, and now my human mum is gone too. I am so scared that I have to die because nobody loves me now. Please give me a home. I am healthy, independent and no bother to anybody. I want to live just for few more years … ”

Mitzy is my Dad’s 7yo desexed female cat.

Dad has moved to aged care and cannot take her with him. She is a beautiful tortoise shell colour.

She currently lives at Regents Park, and needs a new home ASAP. I have large dogs and am allergic to cats so I can’t take her.

Can anyone give her a loving home? Please invite all your cat-loving friends to the event, in the hope that they know someone who can take her.

Urgent – Sydney – Cats Requiring Foster Care

Tiny Cupid and Topaz are two cats urgently in need of a foster home while their owner, a psychiatric patient, is in hospital. Their mother loves them so much that she carried them to the hospital with her rather than leave them alone. When she could not take them with her to hospital she walked carrying them all the way to her old vet in Manly as it was the only place she could imagine she could leave them safely before she could go back to the hospital to admit herself. Unfortunately the vet is charging fees that she cannot possibly afford on her pension. Perhaps you could send out the following blurb to volunteers:

The vet is charging $30 per day – as you can imagine on a pension when she she still has her others expenses this is basically impossible.

We are urgently looking to find two cats, Tiny Cupid and Topaz (their photos are on the facebook page), a home while their owner has been admitted to hospital with a mental illness. The owner walked them to Manly from the Inner West as her old vet was the only person she could think of in her illness who would care for them. They are currently being held at the vet at Manly but the owner cannot possibly afford the fees to keep them there and is very upset is very distressed as she desperately needs them to be cared for.

The cats are clean, healthy, very well cared for indoor cats. They are a little shy, but playful and social with other cats (neighbour cats are allowed to visit them at home) and humans once they relax. They will need a home for a few weeks possibly up to two or three months at most while Tully re

Kittens can be so funny!

We get so much enjoyment from watching our kitten Leroy playing – he is always playing! I love it when he runs across the room side-ways like a crab.

But of course using all that energy constantly means he also loves sleep.

Watching him sleep is like looking at and admiring a beautiful artwork. He gets into the best sleeping positions – here are just some..

We have adopted a very playful and cheeky kitten.

I was at my mum’s house the other day and downloaded the Friskies Cat Fishing App. I thought I’d try it out on my sister’s senior cat Koo Koo.

Boy, he loves the game and looked like a kitten himself.. afterwards he seemed a little on the tired side. This was the second or third time he played it so you will hear mum in the background saying he wasn’t moving as fast! Poor old thing!

Leroy Discovers the Christmas Tree!
