Urgent – Sydney – Cats Requiring Foster Care
Tiny Cupid and Topaz are two cats urgently in need of a foster home while their owner, a psychiatric patient, is in hospital. Their mother loves them so much that she carried them to the hospital with her rather than leave them alone. When she could not take them with her to hospital she walked carrying them all the way to her old vet in Manly as it was the only place she could imagine she could leave them safely before she could go back to the hospital to admit herself. Unfortunately the vet is charging fees that she cannot possibly afford on her pension. Perhaps you could send out the following blurb to volunteers:
The vet is charging $30 per day – as you can imagine on a pension when she she still has her others expenses this is basically impossible.
We are urgently looking to find two cats, Tiny Cupid and Topaz (their photos are on the facebook page), a home while their owner has been admitted to hospital with a mental illness. The owner walked them to Manly from the Inner West as her old vet was the only person she could think of in her illness who would care for them. They are currently being held at the vet at Manly but the owner cannot possibly afford the fees to keep them there and is very upset is very distressed as she desperately needs them to be cared for.
The cats are clean, healthy, very well cared for indoor cats. They are a little shy, but playful and social with other cats (neighbour cats are allowed to visit them at home) and humans once they relax. They will need a home for a few weeks possibly up to two or three months at most while Tully re
